The multi-plane (also spelled multiplane ) camera was a pivotal technology achievement in the mid-1930s for which Disney holds a number of patients. It provided a depth of field for their animated films that others could not match. The Multi-Plane Camera was first used in the 1937 production of "The Old Mill." The multi-plane camera is one of the outstanding exhibits at the Walt Disney Family Museum. The Pin Size is approximately 2” x 2”
