Description   Disney Trading Pin 45342: WDW - Walt Disney Originals Collection (Flowers and Trees) The Walt Disney Originals Collection pays tribute to Walt Disney's pioneering achievements in great family entertainment. A new Limited Edition pin will be released each month throughout 2006. This Limited Edition pin celebrates animated short, "Flowers and Trees." Originally begun as a black and white cartoon, this Silly Symphony cartoon was finished in color at Walt Disney's insistence. He believed color would greatly enhance animation. The first animated short in color was released on July 30, 1932. This pin features an image of Walt Disney with a scene from "Flowers and Trees." This image is hinged with the cover in black and white. When opened, the pin reveals the same scene in full color. This pin is #5 from a collection of 12 pins.
